In a display of culinary expertise and creativity, Cadet Stanzin Angmo and Cadet Tanishq Raina of Class VIII from Sainik School Nagrota have won the first prize in the Junior Master Chef Competition, organized by the Food Craft Institute, Jammu, on 8th November 2024.
The duo competed in the Junior Non-Fire category, where they impressed the judges with their skillful preparation of nine dishes. Their standout creation, the Korean Cucumber Salad, earned them top honors for its unique flavor and meticulous presentation. The competition, which saw the participation of 27 schools from across the Jammu region, provided a platform for young chefs to showcase their culinary talents.
Captain (IN) Shibu Devasia, Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, praised the winners for their outstanding achievement and expressed admiration for their creativity and dedication. He highlighted that their success not only reflects their culinary skills but also exemplifies the core values of teamwork, creativity, and discipline that Sainik School Nagrota instills in its cadets.
