Following last week's issue of Jantar Mantar protest by two persons from Bihar, who made anti-national statements against the old Sikkim law Article 371F, the concerned citizen of Sikkim led by Mr Ashok Mangar, held a peaceful protest against those two Bihari in the state capital Gangtok, East district Office Complex.
While talking to the media, Pasang Sherpa decided to protect Article 371F and the old law. He strongly condemned the activity of two persons from Bihar who made objectional statements against the old Sikkim law at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.
Mr Pasang Sherpa accused the politicians of pursuing their vested interests in political matters rather than coming in support of protecting the state's old law, which was a vital law provided to the state by the Government of India after its merger with the Union of India. Mr Pasang Sherpa described the activities of the two persons from Bihar as most unethical and equally 'anti-national' as their statements were equally against the national interest. Such anti-national persons do not need any FIR, instead, they should be arrested and put behind the bars immediately.
On the other hand, Sikkim Police also called for a press briefing regarding their prompt action against two persons, where Sikkim Police informed that an FIR would be registered against them.
Similarly, two members under the banner of Sikkim Mulbasi Surakshak Sanghathan in Rangpo returned from New Delhi and were received at the Gateway of Sikkim after the FIR was registered against two persons at Jantar Mantar PS in New Delhi.
Yesterday, citizens called a rally from Amdo Golai to DC East premise to demand and condemn strict action against two persons.
