Northeast India interstate’s friendship car rally 2022 Day two road show at Meghalaya has witnessed the cultural exchanges program and participants interacted with college students about the awareness of communal harmony and tourism industry prospective in the northeast region.
The main agenda of the day was to promote the culture and ethnic traditional values of the region along with creating awareness about the tourism industry in the region. The mon cultural preservation society of mon kalaktang Arunachal Pradesh has showcased the magnificent traditional Yak dance followed by Wangala Dance by Garo tribe of Meghalaya and mompa dance by Arunachal mompa cultural troupe.
The North-Eastern region is one of the most diverse regions with a variety of cultures and ethnic beliefs which the world deserve to know but due to lack of knowledge and awareness, only the tip of the iceberg has been explored till now. This rally aims to take the region to every household in the nation and beyond so that people can see the region in all its glory. IFCRA holds the view that a rally of this proportion, which shall cover each of the eight states of the region, can benefit the tourism industry by heaps and bounds. What the region lacks to become the tourism powerhouse is the lack of knowledge among people outside the region about what North-East India has to offer to them. The rally aims to change this perspective.
