Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia passed away on Wednesday morning at Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai.
Confirming the sad news, the actor took to social media handle Twitter and wrote, "She was my core and, today I feel an unbearable pain at the core of my existence. My mother Mrs. Aruna Bhatia left this world this morning to be reunited with my father in another world. I respect your prayers as my family and I are going through this. Rest in Peace."
Actor Akshay Kumar was shooting for "Cinderella" with Ranjit Tiwari and suddenly decided to return to Mumbai from London with his ailing mother Aruna Bhatia on Monday. According to a news portal, Akshay Kumar's mother was ill and was admitted to the ICU of Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai as soon as she returned.
Akshay Kumar was in the UK and returned to Mumbai earlier this week to be with his mother.
His last picture was taken at the Mumbai airport on Monday. On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar wrote about his mother's health in an Instagram post, "Your concern for my mother's health is beyond words. This is a very difficult time for me and my family. Your every single prayer is a great help." He wrote.
