The distinguished NEF Media Awards 2024 acknowledged the
marvellous contributions of seasoned journalists Arunim Bhuyan, Reema Sharma,
and Athouba for their endeavors in publicizing matters regarding the North
Eastern Region (NER) in Delhi. The awards were given during the splendid finale
of the North East Festival, a celebration of the region’s culture, heritage,
and recent accomplishments.
Adding to the evening’s energy, Sachin Gogoi, Senior
Correspondent at BBC, was felicitated for his outstanding work in getting
NER-related matters to the foreground. The festival also feted Rishiraj
Borkotoky, a spirited entrepreneur who is spearheading new ventures in various
parts of Delhi, enabling opportunities and understandings about the Northeast.
The occasion saw the presence of several reputed
dignitaries, including Honorable Member of Parliament Rameshwar Teli,
well-known media personality Sanjive Narain, and Additional Chief Secretary to
the Government of Assam, Kalyan Chakravarthy. Their staunch backing for
endeavors for highlighting the Northeast was met with sincere gratitude from
the organizers.
