Twenty students from the villages of Andro, Yairipok, Yambem, and Angtha in Manipur had the honor of meeting the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhawan on November 4.

During this memorable encounter, the students presented a memento to President Murmu and expressed how her life story serves as a source of inspiration for their own aspirations and dreams.

This special tour was organized by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavna. The 10-day journey will take the students to Agra and Lucknow after their time in the national capital, giving them the chance to visit historic landmarks and deepen their appreciation for India's cultural diversity.

Through this initiative, the Indian Army aims to foster national integration and empower young minds by immersing them in India's cultural heritage. The group is set to return to Imphal on November 12, 2024.
