Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Assumes Charge as ADG of the NCC Directorate in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh

Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, has assumed the role of Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. A highly respected officer, Major General Bevli brings to the post a wealth of experience accumulated over more than 30 years of distinguished service in the Indian Army.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, and the National Defence College, New Delhi, Major General Bevli is a third-generation army officer who has excelled across a range of assignments. His extensive career includes pivotal command and staff roles, with operational tenures in critical areas such as Siachen, the Kargil conflict’s Op Vijay (Tiger Hill), and counter-terrorism operations in Jammu & Kashmir as well as in the North East.
The appointment comes at a crucial time for the region, as the Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh experience significant changes and the NCC has placed renewed emphasis on enrolling youth from remote areas, encouraging them to take an active role in nation-building.
Under Major General Bevli's leadership, the Directorate aims to reach new heights in fostering a spirit of national pride and unity among young cadets, particularly those from underrepresented areas. (PR)
