The National People's Party (NPP) of the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency has expressed immense satisfaction following the approval and sanctioning of the long-awaited road upgrade from Pfutsero to Chillo via Razeba. This vital infrastructure project is expected to benefit several communities, including Zhavame, Razeba, Zelome, Tsüpfüme, and other neighboring villages in Manipur.
In a press statement, the NPP acknowledged the efforts of the Government of Nagaland, particularly under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Neiphiu Rio. The party commended Rio for prioritizing the pressing needs of the community and for his commitment to the development and prosperity of Nagaland, especially for uplifting less privileged groups.
The NPP extended special thanks to Shri K.G Kenye, the Hon’ble Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, for his personal intervention in securing the project’s approval. Additionally, they recognized the steadfast support of Hon’ble Minister for Public Works (R&B) Shri Kaito Aye, the Department of PWD (R&B) Nagaland, and the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The party also appreciated the contributions of various individuals, groups, and organizations that played a significant role in getting the project off the ground.
Once completed, the road is expected to enhance interstate connectivity and stimulate local economic growth. It is anticipated to improve access to health, education, and tourism services, ultimately boosting the well-being of residents in the constituency and the state as a whole. Notably, Razeba's agricultural and allied sectors are expected to see significant growth, along with increased tourism to prominent attractions like the Majestic Kapamodzü.
The NPP emphasized that, as the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road project does not involve land or property damage compensation, landowners and the public should refrain from submitting claims and objections that might hinder progress. They encouraged the residents of the Razeba area to offer their full support and cooperation, ensuring the project aligns with the community's collective vision for a durable road that will benefit future generations.
In conclusion, the NPP assured its complete support for the project while urging the implementing agency to commence work promptly and ensure timely completion. They stressed the importance of delivering a high-quality road, emphasizing that any compromises that could affect the project's integrity or progress would not be tolerated.
This road upgrade represents a significant step toward enhancing the infrastructure and economic potential of the region, marking a hopeful future for the communities it serves. (PR)
