Manipur Students' National Integration Tour Concludes in Lucknow

The students visited the 11 Gorkha Regimental Recruitment Centre, where they observed the training routines of infantry soldiers, gaining insight into the discipline and dedication required in military service.

The Lucknow leg of the National Integration Tour (NIT), organized by the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, was completed successfully, delivering an enriching cultural and historical experience for 20 students from Manipur. This part of the tour, completed on 9 and 10 November, presented students with a firsthand exploration of Uttar Pradesh’s rich heritage, encouraging a deeper sense of national unity.
During their visit, the students had the chance to meet Lt Gen Anindya Sen Gupta, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command. Lt Gen Sen Gupta motivated the students to pursue their dreams with devotion and underscored the importance of contributing to the nation’s progress.
The group toured notable landmarks in Lucknow, including the historic Lucknow Residency, the grand Bada Imambara, the iconic Rumi Darwaza, and the bustling area of Hazratganj. Additionally, the students visited the 11 Gorkha Regimental Recruitment Centre, where they observed the training routines of infantry soldiers, gaining insight into the discipline and dedication required in military service.
The National Integration Tour, which began on 2 November, is set to conclude in Imphal on 12 November 2024. This initiative by the Indian Army aims to promote national integration and widen the perspectives of young students by exposing them to diverse cultural and historical experiences across India.
