The participants and officials of Northeast India Inter-State Friendship Car Rally have reached Bongaigaon in Assam and have been accorded a warm traditional welcome by the Department of Tourism.
The Department of Tourism had organized an introductory-cum-interaction session in which the partiticiapnts and the organizer shared views and potentials to promote tourism in the region. The session was attended by Shri Dharma Narayana Das (Executive Member, Tourism Department, BTR), eminent personalities Shri Maneswar Daimary, Shri Jayanta Sharma (Deputy Director, Tourism Department), Shri Sanath Kumar Mahanta (OSD, Tourism Department) and Shri Ranjan Baruah (motivational speaker).
The tourism department urged the participants to take the message of Bodoland tourism far and wide and make people aware of the immense potential BTR has to offer in the field of tourism.
A cultural program was organized by the tourism department followed by a sumptuous dinner with the intention of exchanging the rich and varied cuisines of different regions.
The rally is organized in the memory of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav sponsored by the North Eastern Council of the Ministry of Donor, Government of India and Youth and sports ministry government of Arunachal pradesh.
The rally will culminate on 22 April 2022 in Guwahati, Assam, which is the gateway to the northeastern states.
