Not long ago, Bihar's Minority Welfare Minister Zama Khan has given a statement that has gone viral on social media. He has said that his ancestors were Hindu and, till today, many of his family are Hindu Rajputs.
Minister has said that the ancestors adopted Islam, so they have become Muslims. But he termed forced conversion as wrong and, if someone voluntarily converts to a religion, it is fine, but it should not happen forcibly. The state government will not allow it to happen. If anyone does this, he cannot escape, the law will give him the harshest punishment.
Describing himself as a Hindu, the minister said that his ancestors were also Hindu Rajputs. He even mentioned that till today he used to visit the Hindu families of his family.
