Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow today on 10th December 2024 to discuss bilateral defence collaboration. The meeting happened on the sidelines of the 21st session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military-Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC).
Rajnath Singh expressed warm regards from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to President Putin, highlighting the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations. The discussions focused on boosting the defence partnership, which both leaders recognized as having vast potential for growth.
Emphasizing the permanent bond between India and Russia, Singh said, “Friendship between our countries is higher than the highest mountain and deeper than the deepest ocean.” He assured President Putin of India’s firm support, reaffirming the historical friendship between the two nations.
The meeting echoed the importance of mutual collaboration in defence, aligning with the shared vision of both countries to strengthen their strategic partnership. This exchange further reinforced the long-standing relations and set the stage for improved collaboration in military and technical domains.
