CNS Admiral Tripathi Reviews Maritime Security Readiness in Gujarat, Daman & Diu

Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of Naval Staff, visited Gujarat, Daman & Diu Naval Area to assess operational readiness and infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening maritime security in the region.

Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), visited the strategically vital forward sector of Gujarat, Daman & Diu Naval Area at Porbandar. During his visit, Admiral Tripathi was briefed on the operational readiness and ongoing infrastructure development projects designed to enhance maritime security across the region. 
The visit underscored the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding India’s extensive maritime boundaries, especially in Gujarat, which boasts the longest coastline of any state. Addressing Naval personnel, Defence Civilian staff, and Defence Security Corps (DSC) members, Admiral Tripathi conveyed his Diwali greetings and lauded the teams for their steadfast dedication and continuous efforts in protecting India’s maritime interests.
Admiral Tripathi highlighted Gujarat’s integral role in India’s maritime legacy and emphasized its significance in the Navy’s future operational vision. “Gujarat holds a very special place not only in our rich maritime past and vibrant present but also in the promise of a glorious future,” he remarked, underscoring that each unit, platform, and individual station in the region contributes critically to national security.
The CNS urged all personnel to focus on their core responsibilities, remaining prepared to support a “Combat-Ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future-Ready Indian Navy,” and inspired them to remain vigilant and dedicated: "Anytime! Anywhere! Anyhow!" (PR)
