Assam: In a display of its commitment to community welfare, the Indian Army organized a medical camp in the remote village of Kordoiguri in Tinsukia district, Assam, on 21 September 2024, as part of Operation Sadbhavana.
The medical camp was staffed by a team of five general physicians, including three doctors from Civil Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in Bandarkhati and neighboring tea estates, and two from the Army, along with nursing personnel. The team provided comprehensive medical services to over 900 residents of the village.
The camp offered medical check-ups, consultations, and essential healthcare services, along with the distribution of medicines. In addition to addressing immediate health needs, the initiative emphasized preventive health measures.
The event highlighted the Army's dedication to promoting community health and strengthening its connection with the local residents, reinforcing its role in nation-building efforts. (PR)
