Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh ji is set to formally inaugurate the new Sainik School in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on September 23, 2024. This development is part of the government’s ongoing initiative to establish 100 new Sainik Schools across India in collaboration with NGOs, state governments, and private institutions.
These newly established schools will operate alongside the 33 existing Sainik Schools under a revised pattern. The Ministry of Defence has already approved 45 new Sainik Schools under a partnership model, which will follow both their respective educational board curriculums and the "Academic PLUS" curriculum modeled after traditional Sainik Schools. All schools will function under the guidance of the Sainik Schools Society and adhere to its rules and regulations.
In September 2023, the Sainik Schools Society signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Shri Bhawani Niketan Shiksha Samiti, facilitating the establishment of a new Sainik School at Shri Bhawani Niketan Public School in Jaipur. The school has already commenced operations in the current academic year.
This expansion reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing military-focused education and instilling a sense of discipline and leadership in students across India.
