Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) won two major awards at the National Level Quality Circles Competition (QCC) held on November 21-22, 2024, at BEML, Mysore. The event, managed by SODET with the theme "Lead With Quality," highlighted HSL’s priority on improving its strategies.
The HSL Spark Team achieved the Gold Award for making a smart solution to reduce welding misshaping in shipbuilding. Their efforts cut deck-level misshaping by 52% and improved efficiency by 51%.
The HSL Achievers Team received the Silver Award for successfully establishing the Active Heave Compensation (AHC) system. Their method secured perfect alignment and reduced the need for rework.
These achievements show HSL’s passion for quality and creation in shipbuilding, ship repairs, and submarine uprises. (PR)
