In a significant step towards empowering rural youth with digital skills, the Spear Corps of the Indian Army has upgraded the IT lab at Mamorani Prathmik Vidyalaya, a rural school in Tinsukia District. This initiative, part of the Army's Operation Sadbhavna, aims to bridge the digital divide by equipping students in remote areas with access to modern technology.

The newly upgraded lab is equipped with state-of-the-art computers and is designed to provide quality digital education to students. This will enhance digital literacy among the school’s youth, opening pathways for future employment and fostering inclusive growth. The Army’s endeavor not only aims to develop technical skills but also promotes empowerment and self-reliance in regions often limited by resources.

During the inauguration, the students expressed elation, witnessing firsthand the introduction of digital technology into their remote village, which has long endured the impacts of insurgency. The school’s principal conveyed heartfelt gratitude, praising the Army's commitment to the welfare of local communities.

The Indian Army’s civic initiatives in Tinsukia extend beyond digital literacy. With a strong focus on education, healthcare, and infrastructure, the Army continues to engage in projects that uplift and support rural areas, fostering a sense of unity and progress. Through such initiatives, the Army reaffirms its dedication to fostering skill development and digital literacy, building a brighter future for India’s rural youth.(PR)
