Major General R.K. Sachdeva, ADG of NCC Directorate JK&L, Retires After 37.5 Years of Service

Major General Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, concluded a distinguished career of nearly four decades, marking his retirement today. In a ceremonial farewell held at the NCC Directorate on Canal Road, he was honored for his selfless dedication and notable contributions to the organization and youth empowerment.

Throughout his 37.5 years of service, Major General Sachdeva held various high-profile operational and administrative roles, excelling in prestigious courses and bringing his expertise to every assignment. During his tenure as ADG, he led the NCC Directorate JK&L to unprecedented achievements, with a notable increase in training activities, projects, and initiatives designed to inspire and develop cadets. Under his leadership, cadet participation surged, and many were motivated to join defense and law enforcement.

In a historic achievement, over 25,000 cadets were introduced to cutting-edge disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity. This pioneering initiative aimed to equip cadets with modern skills for a technology-driven future. His efforts also led to Unit Citations from the Governors of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, acknowledging the NCC’s outstanding impact on youth development and community service.

In his farewell address, Major General Sachdeva urged personnel to uphold the NCC’s mission of empowering and guiding India’s youth. His exemplary career leaves a lasting legacy, with the NCC Directorate JK&L reaching new heights under his stewardship.(pr)
